If nostalgia is what you're looking for you will find this DVD box set provides it in abundance, from main line steam to long lost branch lines, complete with lots of action, views of the surrounding countryside, even a glimpse of a waiting passenger waving down a train with his handkerchief on a rural platform, its all there just as you remembered it. There are 3 DVDs in this set:

1. The East Coast Main Line from London to Scotland, which begins at Kings Cross & covers locations that include Doncaster, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh, & beyond to Perth, Dundee & Aberdeen, with some shed locations included. The motive power is many & varied. All the main line pacific classes are there, as well as a considerable range of familiar goods locos.

2. Steam in Lancashire & Yorkshire, including main line steam along the West Coast Main Line, Liverpool Lime Street, Settle to Carlisle, branch lines, freight traffic around Wigan, Bolton, & Manchester, & much more. A3s, B1s, V2s, Duchess, Princess, Jubilee, Royal Scot, Patriot, Britannia, & many others.

3. South West of England, featuring Salisbury to Exeter, the Devon Belle in 1947, Bodmin branch, Gloucester & Cheltenham. Great Western Main Line steam from Bristol to Plymouth & on to Paddington, including Dawlish, Newton Abbot, Swindon, Sonning Cutting & Reading. Also Lyme Regis to Axminster & much more. West Country, Merchant Navy, Castles, Kings, Halls, Manors & huge variety of many others. There are many different locations shown & loads of action, in fact there are so many locos dashing past in all directions that you have to focus on what is happening or you are certain to miss something.

Most of the footage was taken during the late Fifties & in the 1960s
